Help Farmer Foodshare Raise $20,000 to Support Fresh Food to Agencies that Serve the Hungry!

A generous donor who wishes to remain anonymous has issued a holiday Farmer Foodshare Challenge! For every dollar that we raise between now and the end of the year, this donor will match the donation up to $10,000.

Please consider donating at www.farmerfoodshare.org/donate and ensure that everyone has access to fresh, delicious and nutritious local food!

We give local! You can earmark donations to support community food and farm networks in any of the counties in which we work.

  • $10 buys a bag of fresh food for a child in our FreshKids! Farm to Afterschool program.
  • $100 buys 10 bags of fresh local food for families served by the local food pantries.
  • $500 brings 100 children to the Farmers Market and gives them money to learn how to shop for their own fresh local vegetables.
  • * $1000 starts 4 new donation stations to get flows of fresh food going between local farmers and food insecure community members!

To see the Donation Station program at work, please check out this short video by UNC intern, Cait Bold, on the program at Carrboro Farmers’ Market.

Special thanks for participating to market manager, Sarah Blacklin, and the farmers, volunteers and Farmer Foodshare community partners at Carrboro Farmers’ Market!
