Amy Roussel

Member of the Board
Retired, RTI International

Amy Roussel joined the Farmer Foodshare Board in June 2026, six months after retiring from an executive leadership position at RTI International, an independent non-profit scientific research institute.  She brings to this Board a background in organizational systems, a belief in the power of scientific solutions to improve the human condition, a commitment to supporting local farmers and communities, and a passion for justice and equity.  She keeps busy volunteering at the Animal Protection Society of Durham, supporting her Durham community, and cooking (with local produce, of course!). She earned a bachelor’s degree from Duke University and a doctorate from Stanford University.
