Chelsie joined the Farmer Foodshare Board of Directors in 2023 and assumed the role of Vice Chair in 2024.

Currently she works for a 3PL as a Sustainability Manager working to decrease greenhouse gas emissions across North America. Prior to this position she worked for N.C. Network of Grantmakers where she collaborated and worked alongside funding partners across the NC region. She also served as a second grade teacher with Johnston County Public Schools, teaching 2nd grade.

Chelsie has a Bachelor degree of Science from Auburn University at Montgomery, and holds certifications from both the University of Virginia and Duke University.

Chelsie is passionate about system-level change and community advocacy. When she isn’t working you can find her supporting her family restaurant, Melvins at Riverside, traveling, watching soccer, or keeping up with her dogs Oatmeal and Champ.
