Food Hub Sales & Operations Director
David brings a unique combination of skills and experience to Farmer Foodshare incorporating decades of agricultural experience with extensive business studies. Before earning an MBA from Columbia University, David oversaw hundreds of acres of fresh vegetable production on his family’s farm, on Eastern Long Island, using sustainable methods he developed to replace antiquated practices. After the farm was sold, David worked as a research analyst at a Wall Street investment partnership following the alternative energy sector and was director of research for a start-up private equity farmland fund based in North Carolina. He then worked for Farmer Foodshare and developed Wholesale Market into a very successful program that provided locally grown produce to people in need while supporting local farmers. He worked for a natural dye manufacturing company managing ~400 acres of indigo production. David is very excited to return to Farmer Foodshare and looks forward to playing an important and supporting role in helping FF grow to its full potential, applying his skills and expertise to achieve the best possible results. In his spare time, David plays his 1968 Fender Telecaster… sometimes unplugged.
