DCIA funds efforts to combat food insecurity

Durham Congregations in Action (DCIA) has committed $3,750 to strengthen the collaboration between Farmer Foodshare and Root Causes’ Fresh Produce Program. The program, which supplies North Carolina produce bi-weekly to more than 350 food insecure households across Durham, operates out of the Farmer Foodshare warehouse each week.

Thank you to DCIA

First and foremost, thank you so much for your support for Farmer Foodshare and the Root Causes Fresh Produce Program. Your generous donation has greatly contributed to our ability to sustain our continued partnership with local community food organizations to support our low-income, food-insecure patients within the Duke and Lincoln Community Health systems!

Every gift helps our partners fulfill the need within our community. DCIA’s support is vital in making an immediate impact on our mission and to those we serve.
