Farmer Foodshare is an Eastern Food Hub Collaborative Member

Along the Atlantic Coast, food hubs are working to support small farmers and feed communities together as the Eastern Food Hub Collaborative. Operations may vary, but the vision is shared: equitable, healthy regional food systems that ensure local farmers thrive and everyone eats good food.  

The collaborative has more than a dozen (and counting!) member food hubs stretching from Maine to South Carolina. Farmer Foodshare became a member just this month, and we are so thrilled to join this network of organizations.  

Our Director of Operations, David Szczepankowski, attended this year’s annual meeting, held a few weeks ago in Bahama, NC. The food hubs were able to gather for several days and plan strategically for the future. Seed Change Strategies led facilitated discussions and visioning for the team.  

The Eastern Food Hub Collaborative aims to share resources, expand market opportunities for our farmers, increase community food access, and altogether build a more just, resilient food system. Day-to-day, teamwork makes us stronger, and we know we can create even greater change in partnership with our food hub peers.
