Development Director
Hailing from Connecticut, Hillary came to North Carolina in 2005 to attend Elon University, where she majored in history and became enamored with the South’s farm fields and slower pace of life. She received a master’s in higher education administration from NC State, where her passion for social justice led her to pursue nonprofit work. She served as Director of Operations for Hill House Durham, managing a historic home and event venue in the heart of downtown Durham. Prior to this, she was the Associate Director of Development and Communications at the Eno River Association for six years, leading their annual fundraising efforts. Hillary also worked in development, communications, and event planning at organizations including Elon University, NARAL Pro-Choice North Carolina, and the Orange County Rape Crisis Center.
Hillary lives in Durham with her three young kids. She’s on a quest to read as many books as she can, improve her conversational Spanish, complete the NY Times Spelling Bee each day, discover the Triangle’s best queso dip, travel the world, and get her children to sleep through the night.
