Local Partners With Impact: Inter-Faith Food Shuttle and Food Bank of Central and Eastern NC
As we look back on 2024, we wanted to share more about a few of our community partners and some of the exciting impacts we achieved this year. Together with Inter-Faith Food Shuttle and Food Bank of Central and Eastern NC, supported through Durham County ARPA funding, in 2024, we were able to:
- Prepare and deliver a total of 14,835 prepacked produce boxes
- Distribute 367,162 pounds of fresh, local produce and eggs to 19 partner agencies
- Serve 7,313 households and 16,656 individuals throughout Durham
- Return an estimated $471,789 in revenue to over 50 local, NC, family farmers through produce purchases
More than 400 volunteers joined this community effort on 83 pack days by folding, filling, and packing boxes. We are so grateful for the many hands that went into this work!
We are honored to have been a part of this amazing partnership in 2024 and look forward to continuing to increase access to fresh, local food for our Durham community this year.
