NC State Extension Carries Donation Stations Legacy

Before Farmer Foodshare became what it is today, our efforts to support local farmers and feed our neighbors started out as Donation Stations at Triangle-area farmers markets.

As Farmer Foodshare has grown and shifted towards agriculture distribution, we’ve known that Donation Stations needed to be in the hands of another organization, and we couldn’tbe happier to see it carried forward through NC State Extension.

We are so proud of this program and have loved being instrumental in getting it started and offering support throughout the years. It’s wonderful to see the program become even greater under the care of every collaborator that’s helped Donation Stations become such a fruitful resource for NC farmers and families, and we are grateful it has a forever home with NC State Department of Agricultural and Human Sciences.
