Crystal is an accomplished administrative professional with a diverse skill set in customer service, accounting, human resources, and operations management. She holds a Master’s degree in Political Science and a certificate in Sustainability and Politics from the University of New Hampshire, where her research focused on international social movements promoting local food initiatives and affordable access for all.

Her passion for sustainability extends beyond academia—Crystal volunteered with the Sustainable Food Center and Food Bank of Central Texas in Austin, TX, and gained hands-on farming experience through the WWOOF program. These experiences solidified her commitment to supporting local food systems and community-focused initiatives.

Crystal‘s journey continued in Durham, where she connected with customers at a local smoothie and juice bar, strengthening her dedication to serving communities with quality food options. She is now proud to serve as the Director of Administration at Farmer Foodshare, where she continues her work to make healthy, locally grown food accessible to all.

In her free time, Crystal enjoys spending time outdoors, going on coffee dates with friends, and indulging in her love for cooking and gardening. She is excited to be part of the Durham community and contribute to its continued growth and sustainability.
